  • I know I keep starting/stopping stories but I found myself thinking of dropping all my other story ideas, the ones that failed, slumped or just hit a brick wall leaving words scattered all over the floor in a massive heap. But I'm hoping that this one doesn't end up like them, mostly because even though I don't have much time to write these days, I need to know that I can actually still imagine things out of my head and it's not just a useless waste of my time...
Rant over...Here we go to the introduction. You'll just have to bare with me with updates. Just a warning, it has a depressing focal point but will have some funny/sarcastic speech from someone. First update hopefully soon.

There's no easy way of explaining that moment where your whole world crashes down around you. Leaving you breathless, afraid and unable to move.
However standing still is not an option any longer, because one wrong move and you're dead.

To explain what I'm actually talking about, the only way for me to describe it as if it were happening now, but I warn you. No matter what happens in these pages, there will be no better place for you to be than a comfortable sofa in a place where you feel safe surrounded by lots of people.

       The reason why is simple.
This is story is not meant for children.

  • I know what you mean Pho, it's hard to keep going on a story, and other ideas are pilling up  behind you!

    Keep it coming anyway. :)

  • Thanks you two, but you'll have to bare with the updates until things quieten down. Everything seems to be kicking off at the same time, and right now even though I badly need to escape this *Insert many swear words here* world, I have other things I need to deal with first...

Oh, and the introduction may sound like my other story 'Children of Tomorrow' but just bare with me, again, on this. It will start the same but it will quickly change.. hopefully...

    Read post above before this

We believed the world was simple and perfect, the flawless finish was a way of showing how easy life was.
       We were wrong.

Nigel, my brother, has always been two years older than me and was with me when everything changed. But that didn't stop him from being   immature and carefree, just like I was, even when the ideals we lived in changed. We looked nothing even from a distance. He was shorter than me by just over an inch and was just slightly overweight with large emerald eyes, which of course was buried under a mass of untamed brown hair.
In short, his scruffy appearance made him look homeless most of the time and it still does to this day.
People often give him strange looks even now, not because of the way he looks but the way he acts around them. Strangers are still drawn to his laid back appearance, especially because not many people actually wear jeans with a dark blue tank top around much any more. But as soon as he starts talking about computers and electronics with such animation it makes it sound like he's swallowed helium and is practically dancing everywhere, the crowds quickly shrink.
Don't get me wrong, he is probably the friendliest person you could ever meet. He's just not sure how to talk to the many of us who aren't interested in the things he loves the most.
I am, myself, a completely different person in so many ways, I'm practically the opposite of what Nigel grew up to be. Even with our past being so similar, our personalities are so different it's hard to tell if we're related at times.

Our battle between what we knew and odd but old fairy tales our parents told us, when we were still small, began in a time where there was nothing to fear. The population had accepted us into civilisation, and our antics and personalities along the way.
Everyone just went with what they were told, no questions were asked and no strict rules were enforced that would have damaged our freedom.
In one moment that all changed.

Rumours spread quickly, and effortlessly. 'A rebellion, revolt, one person spreading stupid lies that infected others around them.' We found out later that none of those were true, we all did.

To begin our tale you will have to realise just how important the information I tell you in this introduction really is. I know most people would prefer to read the real story, but this is one of the few cases where you cannot afford to skip ahead.
We weren't prepared, that is the main thing you have to understand. People were desperate and scared, because in the end we had no where to hide.

  • Thanks china, i'm still trying to work out this one to be honest though. Came up with the idea from just a few speech lines that come in later.
you'll just have to stick around, maybe read one of my old stories if you get bored enough. A lot of stuff is going on atm, stuff i'd rather not deal with which has to come first.

  • Okay, I know this isn't much of a post but I am gradually picking this one up again. I realised yesterday that I needed to write so I opened the file again.

I am having to re-write some of it because the file corrupted though ¬_¬ which didn't help my mood. It was one of those rare occasions I actually liked what I'd written so the replacement not plan out so well.
I'm hoping to work out what exactly's going to happen in this though, I have a rough idea but annoyingly it's one of those stories that I need to actually plan and work on.
