  • I think it's time to put some use to this dusty old concert hall.  The acoustics in here are brilliant, and there are enough seats to hold all of Tome's residents (even the ghosts...) about a hundred times over, and it's the only audio-related subforum around, so I'm setting up shop.

    Off-Topic:
IDEA!  Ovey, how much would you charge (now I finally have my amassed wealth back) for a SaintReads subsubforum here?

Once my microphone arrives, or maybe even before that if Pho's webcam isn't too bad a mike, my audiobook ventures will begin with a test in the form of a new short story I'm writing, a Christmas-related audio exclusive short story, entitled Evellyn.

Subscribe to www.youtube.com/SaintReads for the first look at these pieces.

  • I like this idea Saint.  I shall throw stones at the Ovey's tower until he puts in a Audio story section.  Somehow.

Of course, you can always embed YT and other vidoes in posts as well.

  • Update:  The test short, "Merry Christmas, Evellyn..." has been written, and just needs to be recorded.

    Here's a small extract:
    Quote from: Merry Christmas, Evellyn...
The honest truth is that, well, I hadn't forgiven you.  But I still haven't forgotten you, either.  Everything you meant to me, you still mean.  Everything we used to see in each other, we still could be.

  • Ha.  I've not had time to listen to all this yet, but you sound nothing like what I expected! (Which isn't a bad thing).

    I'll catch up fully later.

I sound nothing like what I expected.  I didn't think my voice would be quite so dreary... :raincloud:

And what do you mean catch up; I do all the hard work writing and reading it for you. lol

  • My only criticism is your intonation. Perhaps get some tutorials on that? Still Well read. I look forward to hearing the next sample.

  • So I've been booted out of the Concert Hall.  Turns out the other topics frown upon using the acoustics as a method of creating the world's loudest superbelch.  I'm taking up residence in Story Street for now.
