  • Arhg!  Never download a new game!  I've been innactive today because I've been hooked on Minecraft.  Here are some of my screenshots....

Er, apparently burning to clear the trees works a little too well.

My tower at various stages of construction...

My old cave, viewed from the current top of my tower.  And yes, the forest is still burning, but it's pretty.

  • Right then, I'm over level 50 in Skyrim, and have two Deadre lords, my companion and his staff summoned Storm Antrioch thingy so I tend to mush pretty much anything that dares to stand in my way.   Daugre Deathlords?  Pah.  I wade knee deep in Death Overlord corpses.  Dragons?  Laughable.  Even Giants no longer knock me into the stratosphere.  Along with the fact I'm running very low on interesting quests this has led me back to Minecraft.

And what did I find when I went back?  The bastards have raised the height of the sky!  More than doubled it in fact.  So my fracking huge cube sanctuary now has to be built up a lot more.  First though, my tower of Babylon, which did reach the sky, now needs a lot more work.

Here are a few pics of my cube and the new, higher tower, construction underway.  There's a long way to go to reach the sky again.

Here's the tower at the old maximum height, looking up from the ground...

...and here's the tower at its current height.  Note the spire that goes off screen, that and more is how high it has to go to reach the sky.  Bear in mind this is taken from the 'upper floor' of my 'cube'.  (the pic above was taken from the ground).  The first ring of lights on the tower is the old top.

Here's a view from the 'spire' looking down.

  • I've drifted back to Minecraft lately, and my World 3 giant constructs.  However, after I was knocked into some lava and died (losing many valuable things) in the Neverworld, I started a new world.  This one is all shiny, as many new things have been added since I started world 3, back in March 11!

Here's my still unfinished cube and new improved tower from World 3 first...

Here's the Nether where I met my end:

And here's one of my snow golems, who managed to get aboard my roller coaster, the slacker...

...and here are some slimes, which spawn in my large underground area...

Finally, on the new world, I spawned next to a simply gargantuan ocean.  It takes a good day of travel to reach another decent sized landmass.  I've been sailing around quite a bit on it.  here's a nice sunrise, or sunset, I forget which one it was.

  • I signed up for a Minecraft account recently, just to play the free 'Minecraft Original'.  As addicted as I get to 'build your own' gameplay (especially character creation), I'm not sure I really see the draw to Minecraft.

Granted, I'm sure the actual game that you have to pay for is far better than the 'original,' but I don't have the budget for it yet.  ...and by that, I mean I don't have an online pay account thingy. >.>

Still, it's something I'm keeping in mind, right after Skyrim on my laptop for next year, when I'll be off at college and can't bring my Xbox with me. xD

  • I'm not sure what version that is, but I'm sure it will get you hooked!

I've not played Skyrim for some time now, basically having done (nearly) all the major quests.
