  • In a urban apartment, in one of the many metropolises on Earth, in 2177, there lived a man named Liam McTavish. This man wasn't a mean man, but he wasn't exactly a saint either. He always helps what his opinion of the right side He is 23 years of age, born on the 4th of January. He has shaggy light brown hair, with stubble. He has blue eyes, and is quite tall. He has a job as a Police Officer. To be honest, he is just an ordinary man. Until that eventful morning...

Liam groaned as his data pad beeped constantly, waking him from his sleep. He clumsily reached over to his bedside table, and picked up the data pad.

He sat up, yawning, and read the message he had received. We need you at the station, A.S.A.P! He quickly placed it on the table, and got ready into his uniform, which consisted of a bulletproof vest, tight black cargo trousers, a pair of black combat boots, a utility belt, a black long-sleeved top which is the same material as his trousers, and a black combat helmet. Oh, and don't forget underwear and socks.

He sped out into his living room, and picked up his pistol holster, which held a standard issue side-arm. He strapped that on, and headed out the door, locking it after him.

Liam knew something was wrong the second he stepped a foot out the door. There were no people about, which was odd as he lived in a busy apartment area.

There was also several burning, flipped over cars, and rubble from buildings. In fact, it was that bad he couldn't even recognize the area he lived in, and had to find his way through it by memory. He continued down the street, which was lined with skyscrapers at either side.
Eventually he reached a four way intersection, and he continued down the left one, which was the direction of the Police Station.

This street had a couple of empty cars, doors wide open, as if the passengers had got up and left halfway down the road. He whipped out his pistol, and held it firmly in his hands, forever aiming forward. He slowly walked down the street, stealing glances inside the cars.

     Nothing.

Keeping his aim sighted down towards the end of the street, he saw the Police Station come into sight. It was on his left, about halfway down the street. Once he reached there, he quietly opened the door, with his front facing out towards the road. He backed into the building, still aiming outside. His foot came into contact with something, and he fell backwards, landing on his behind.

He looked down at what he had tripped on, and couldn't believe his eyes. It was an officer like him, kitted out in the same gear, apart from he was wielding a crowbar. He was dead, with his eyes open, and a pool of scarlet blood painted around him, and you could see the poor man's internal organs in a big, singed hole in the middle of his stomach. Liam gasped, and stood up.

He didn't want to have to do this but he might need it. He didn't like stealing from the dead, but he figured whatever happened here, he would need to loot to survive. He picked up the crowbar, slinging it in his utility belt. “What the hell happened here...” Liam muttered.

Suddenly gunshots echoed down through the scarcely lit hallway, which had flickering lights. Liam could see the flash from each bullet fired.

“Quick, let's go! That's not the last of them!” he heard someone shout at the end of the hall, then the shooting stopped.

Liam raised his gun, his hands were shaking with nerves. He step foot in the hall, slowly creeping his way to the end.

Once he came into eyesight of the end, he gaped at the bodies lying there. There was a human, and there were two, that, well, he didn't know what they were. They were a grey-brown bald ape-like things, and it had four knees, two on each leg, so it the leg had three segments other than two.

The first went forward, the second back, and the third down to the foot. It had four toes, a small one at either side of two big ones per foot. It's hands looked human-like apart from the fact that they had four fingers as well, and extended nails, or talons, which would be a more fitting name for them.

It's head was the part that looked like an ape the most, it had four red eyes, two at each side. Along with it's eyes, it has four nostrils, but the nose is flat, so that there is four holes in the middle of it's face. It's teeth are big, sharp, faint-yellow canines, which looks like they are used to eat, well, you probably figured that out by yourself.

It has ears like a snake; just little holes. The alien also had a weird kind of electrical holo-gauntlet. Liam took it from it's limp arm, which felt like rough leather and placed it around his own wrist, and it sprung to life. A small needle came out the end, and injected into his vein, which made him gasp, not in pain, but in surprise. A health reading came up on the little holographic screen. It read 100/100. “This is going to be a lot scarier than I anticipated...” he thought to himself.

The alien's obviously have advanced technology.

Liam left the thought, and continued down the right side of the intersection where the bodies where. He heard talking, a hushed talking. It emitted from the second room on the right. He walked slowly forward, and pressed open on the panel on the side of the door, and it slid up into the wall.

Hope you's like it. I'm a pretty amateurish writer.

  • So, at this point I'm wondering, what is this beast, where is it from, why is everybody gone... have I left the mortal realm and entered some parallel universe?  And... is that device a hit point meter?
