[admin]I've decided to hijack this thread and make it the official "I'm not going to be around so much for a bit thread". So, if you're going to be away for a while, for whatever reason, post it here![/admin]

   Well, as you can guys see, I've not wrote anything for a month or more. There are reasons behind that and I think you guys ought to know... (Warning. Vulgar language will appear in the below passage.)

   I've had to deal with a lot of shit right now. Family, friends, myself. My family have shut themselves off to me, so I hate going home; I'll try to find any excuse to get out. They blame me for every single fucking thing that goes wrong. I'll get the blame for fighting with my brother, even though he started it. (Sounds childish, but it's true. He just winds me up the majority of the time with his sarcastic comments... Which pushes me over the edge).
   My friends have changed. I've lost some and gained some. Myself...you do not wanna fucking go there.
   I'm seriously emotional right now. I'll be either pissed off or upset about something. People have taken my feelings and messed me around. My head is a fucking mess.
   I'm going to see if I can get help from the school counsellor, Anita. I was talking to a friend, and he said that I show all the signs of Borderline Personality Disorder. I just hope to God I don't have it. But because of all of this shit going on, I'm not myself. Fuck, I've not been myself since July last year...
   I'll keep you guys updated about what's happening if I can... Just, if I snap at you or act cold, I don't mean it.

I'm still trying to get up and running on this guys. ¬_¬ My ideas seem kinda dead at the moment.
I may try re-writing GF or DG, or continue with SIN. Or, might leave them and start something completely new.

Heya TC, I have some bad news. My laptop hard drive failed... catastrophically. Finally managed to get my insurance company to stop giving me the run around and repair it, (its been 3 days since it gave up the ghost). The minimum waiting time until I get it back is 10 days (I believe working, so basically 2 weeks). The maximum is 21, at which point they will just give me a brand spanking new laptop of my choice (for fucking mine up even more than it already is). So yeah, I will be inactive until I get my laptop back as I am currently having to share a computer with my brother (a situation I abhor because of his appauling taste in music, background and computers), but sadly there is nothing I can do about it.

I was under the impression that the place we're staying was all bills inclusive. They did not tell us that we still had to buy net and tv license. I'll be back soon, so until then you guys can start posting again until then. On a related note, can I join the we hate Saint club?

There's a saying that encompasses many areas: Never assume.

Speaking from a lot of experience, any renting you do you need to make 100% sure you are clear on every little thing.

Go around and take records of all the meters (water/gas etc) and scour the house/rooms you will be renting for any defects. Take pictures of them and make sure all the above is included in the rental agreement, signed by all parties, otherwise the thieving scumbag landlords will try and say you did this and take your deposit.

I could tell stories I could...

Oh, and sorry, there's a 'No Saint's Rule' on the whole club thing, even if you could get onto the waiting list...

I must agree with Chinaren's sentiment here, you need to be very careful up front when renting. After two or three times you'll probably be able to cover most bases through experience, but that experience may have been costly to come by.

I have a temp contract gig starting on Tuesday (day after tomorrow) which, all being well, will be keeping me pretty damned busy and probably exhausted. So whilst I don't plan on going anywhere, my writing will probably be reduced for a while.

I'm sure I should have done this about three weeks ago but I'm going to be out of action (posting anyway) until the middle of October.

The short gist is I've finally prepared both print and Kindle versions of Grim Reaping and the Kindle version should be out October 29th with the paperback version following soon after (print version had some cover issues so was delayed). I've also been working on an advert for the book and other publicity bits and pieces.

In addition, I've also started a new puppet venture Old Enough To Know Better Puppets, so have been working on a few designs and "body parts" for the first batch of puppets that will be sold online. So between the web design, the puppet design, material sourcing, pricing, building, taking apart, building again the right way and all the other joys that come with it, it's been taking a big chunk of my "non-working-life work time".

Plus i'm away a couple of times in the next few weeks so I might as well just say now that although i could well be writing, the likelihood of me posting anything in that time is about the same as me ever having time on my hands.

Just on another note...although this is unrelated it might be of use to those who have books out there *ahem*, China for one. One of the guys who helped me with the editing of GR sent me the link today. You might want to check it out.

Well...I'm technically back to say Grim Reaping is now out! (Well, kindle version will be by monday)

While I've been away, I've almost finished a new Night of Fictional Dead chapter, begun work on something currently under the title of Recession Ghosts (which is absolutely naff but something better will come), began working out the story for the second Grim book, discovered The Book With No Name by Anonymous - seek it out on Amazon, it's a frantic, bloody, surreal read - almost finished setting up my new puppet business and website and with all that, along with eating, breathing and the day job, have had about 30 minutes to myself

Some hard slog went into that...over the music!! It went through around ten different songs with me saying, "That one sounds great" "Hang on, no that one sounds better." "Wait! That's even better" and so on and so forth.

Anyway, the kindle version and print one are both up and running now on Amazon, so just have my site and a few more places to update with the links.

I'm currently working two different jobs six days a week, and tend to come back exhausted, so not been writing (or reading) much lately. One contract will finish early Dec, so expect a resurgence about then.

On top of that I had food poisoning yesterday (Sunday), and could barely stand, so that didn't help on my one day off.

Lately I've been feeling pretty shocking. I haven't slept properly and I'm under a lot of stress from being behind on assignments. Unfortunately my flat mates are anything but helpful with regards to the situation as all of them are displaying a worrying propensity for deciding that winding me up and making me freak out is a perfectly legitimate way to confront me when there is a problem...
I'm beginning to wish I were a more violent person, because I think a few broken noses would get the point across; "deliberately freaking me out is counter productive." The added deterent of "freak me out and I will hurt you" might also shut them up.

Several of my friends are suggesting I be spiteful in response to their spitefulness, which they have admitted is totally deliberate on almost every occasion.

All the stress seems to be affecting my sleep as I've caught a grand total of 8 hours shut eye in the past 72 hours... I'm exhausted and I'm in lectures all day today (09:00 to 16:30 local).
I'll do my best to keep up with things... but there are problems.
