Tome City's $11 Xmas competition!

 Welcome to Tome City's first ever Real Money competition!  

The contest starts now, and will run until Christmas eve!  The winner will receive a massive USD11 in cash, or equivalent!  WOooo!  

Okay, it's not a fortune, but hey, it's a start right?


The contest

The contest is a simple short story competition.  Read the rules below carefully before submitting!!

I have assigned Chinaren to run this competition, so all submissions and questions to Chinaren please.


Overview:

It's Christmas time, so the story must have a Christmas theme!  It can be any genre, comedy, horror etc, but no pornography.

Word count must be equal to, or under 2009 words. (Not including the title)

The word Xmas or Christmas must be included at least twice in the story.

A banana must appear, or be mentioned, in the story.

Entries must be submitted to Chinaren before 19th of December.  

Voting will take place from 19th to 24th December.

Rules and Regulations:

Entry:

Each person may enter as many times as he or she likes.

Entries must be received before the deadlines to qualify.

Chinaren will be running the competition, and as such will not be allowed to enter.

Entrants must NOT tell anyone they have entered or otherwise.


The Stories:

The short story must be on topic, within the word count, and include the required words.

The short story must be Private Messaged (PMd) to Chinaren.  Do NOT post the story directly in the thread or it will be disqualified.  NO email submissions.

The entry will be published exactly as it is submitted.

You may add no more than two images to enhance the story.

The images must be no more than 300x300 pixels wide.

The images should be sent to Chinaren as an attachment in the PM with the submission.

Authors must remain anonymous.  No hints and clues to if you have written a story or not are allowed.


The Voting.

The Overlord will get a weighted vote, equal to three normal votes.

Voting will run from 20th December to 24th December.

Anyone who has more than one user-id on Tome must ONLY vote with one of them.

You may vote for your own story, but the vote is for the tale you enjoyed the most.


Prize:

The prize will be eleven US dollars, payable by Paypal only.

Alternatively the winner may choose ViP membership to Tome for a year, and an e-copy of any of Chinarens' currently available books, (kindly donated).


General.

Rules may be amended with no prior warning if there is something that needs adding/adjusting/removing.

Anyone caught infringing the rules will be disqualified.  Authors will have their entries removed, and voters will have their votes discounted.

The Overlord will arbitrate between disputes.

The Overlord's judgment is final.

In case of a tie, the Overlord will decide the winner.

Rabbit's a ViP, Paul.  I think it's the pink BG, special rank, and assorted other goodies, including the satisfaction of knowing you donated to help TC, which will, of course, be removed in the scenario.
